Rochelle Brock is the Executive Director of the Urban Teacher Education Program and Associate Professor at Indiana University Northwest.

She graduated with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in cultural studies from Pennsylvania State University in 1999. Since then she has constantly been working in the field teacher preparation.

Rochelle Brock works in service organizations to promote and to gain a better understanding of minority students. Her areas of research are urban education, Culturally Responsive Pedagoy and Critical Pedagogy. She specifically uses art and drama to help students understand their identity.

Rochelle Brock has presented at both US American and international conferences on urban education, critical pedagogy and arts in education

Rochelle Brock has published books including, Sista Talk: The Personal and The Pedagogical & Teaching Joe Kincheloe, numerous book chapters and articles on urban education, Black feminist theory and popular culture. In addition she is Executive Series Editor for Black Studies and Critical Thinking with Peter Lang Publishing Company and Co-Editor of International Journal of Critical Pedagogy.
