Birgit Simschitz is a University lecturer and a teacher in school for German as a foreign language and German as a second language.
Birgit graduated in German Literature and Language from the University of Graz in 1993 and holds a PhD in Educational Sciences since 2014. Her interest lies primarily in the educational process and the designing of this process.
For the last 25 years she was planning and carrying out lessons according to the needs of different learning groups as well as the requirements of national and local curricula, taking into consideration international recommendations. For more than five years she is also the head of the non-profit association “Deutsch in Graz”, which offers year-round courses for all learning levels.
Together with Eva Seidl she published articles and guidelines regarding language-testing at university level.
