Associate Professor Jennifer Kelly has completed degrees in Science, graduated from a Master of Education and a PhD in Education and Sociology. Employed as an academic in universities for over twenty years, Jennifer has held a variety of positions including leadership roles.
Jennifer commenced at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in July 2012 and has occupied roles such as Associate Director of Sciences, Academic Coordinator - Learning and Teaching and more recently Head of the School of Health and Wellbeing. The School of Health and Wellbeing oversees disciplines such as Paramedicine, Sport and Exercise Science, Laboratory Medicine, Biomedical Science and Human Services.
During Jennifer’s time at USQ, she has introduced a multidiscipline Professional Development program, introduced a paramedicine degree and, implemented a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise degree, revised curriculums in Human Services, Biomedical Science and Laboratory Medicine degree programs.
Overall, Jennifer is highly motivated towards designing high quality education programs that are contemporary and include an element of difference. The programs and degrees that Jennifer has contributed to, aim to encourage people to work together to ensure positive outcomes for a common cause.
Jennifer is also highly committed to supervising research students and is actively involved in research opportunities. Finally, Jennifer is involved in local initiatives and is an active member a number of committees external to USQ to assist with establishing and expanding health and wellbeing for individuals and the community.
