Amanda graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2013 with a B.A. in International Relations and Development Studies. Amanda has since chosen to specialise her academic expertise within the field of sustainability.

For the past few years Amanda has spread her time across working in grassroots climate change organisations and as a Business Technology expert. As a Business Technology expert Amanda has worked to create IT strategies and deployment solutions throughout businesses and schools. Working at one of the world’s leading technology companies, Amanda consults with clients on implementing solutions to optimize efficiency, security, future device refresh and upgrades, cloud-based device management solutions, application and software deployment, and professional IT training. Amanda consults on small to large scale deployment projects, with specific focus on information communication technology deployment in educational institutions.

Amanda’s professional experience in business technology and information communication technology deployment for schools has shaped the direction of her academic research in the Master of Sustainable Practice program. The program encourages students to research opportunities that can introduce sustainable solutions and strategies where they may be lacking. The structure of the program allowed Amanda to explore and research e-waste solutions for Australian education institutions for over one and a half years. Amanda’s research on e-waste has been submitted to the 2016 National Sustainability Challenge as a finalist and was awarded the category of ‘Best Research”.

Amanda will be bringing her consulting experience and sustainability expertise to the Climate Change and Sustainability Group within the Advisory department at KPMG at the start of 2018 as she continues growing her knowledge and experience in the field.
