Alexandra Prentza holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2000), an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Essex, United Kingdom (2002) and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2010).
She is permanent staff of the Ioannina, Greece School of Intercultural Education teaching bilingual students. She is also a researcher in the BALED (Bilingual Acquisition and Bilingual Education: The Development of Linguistic & Cognitive. Abilities in Different Types of Bilingualism) research programme of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Moreover, she teaches ESP (English for Specific Purposes) courses as adjunct lecturer in the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus, Department of Applied Foreign Languages in Management and Commerce.
Her research interests and publications concern the areas of second language acquisition, second language syntax and bilingualism.
