Zhanar Baiteliyeva is an Assistant Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. After a career in teaching at Kazakh-Turkish High School in Shymkent. Zhanar Baiteliyeva completed postgraduate at A.Yesevi International Kazakh-Turkish University majoring in “Turkic Languages”. She earned a candidate of philological sciences at A. Baitursynov Institute of linguistics in 2007.
She was the co-author of toponymic encyclopedia “The Name of the Land – The Letter of Your State” within the project “Cultural Heritage” between 2006 and 2007.
She was involved as a junior research officer on the projects “Scientific and theoretical principles of Kazakh language etymology” and “National idea – a key development of the Kazakhstan” within the research program “Kazakh language development tendencies and directions as national and state language in independent Kazakhstan” at A. Baitursynov Institute of linguistics in 2007-2008.
Zhanar Baiteliyeva is a participant of 11 international and republican conferences, the uthor of more than 25 scientific and methodological works, and the textbook named “Kazakh ethnolinguistics” (2011),
Her research interests include issues in the ethnolinguistics, cultural studies, cognitive linguistics, Kazakh and Turkic linguistic terms.
