I am a lecturer and researcher at the University of Oviedo (Spain), where I teach applied linguistics, foreign language teaching and methodology.
I have been a visiting scholar at Imperial College (London) and the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). I have published research papers in international journals such as Language and Intercultural Communication, Porta Linguarum, or Linguistica Antverpiensia and I have been engaged in a good number of European and international projects. I referee research articles and collaborate as an editor for several international publications.
My research interests lie in applied linguistics, foreign language teaching, teacher training, language acquisition, bilingual education, multilingualism, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), Translation Studies, and the relationship between language and technology.
Currently, I am the Director of the Master in Content and Language Integrated Learning of the University of Oviedo, where I also in charge of the Area of Internationalization and Graduate Programmes.
