Abstract
This study is part of a continuing research process that focused on implementing co-teaching models in the practical experience of teachers training in the special program named "Class- Academia" (Nissim-Neifeald, 2018). This paper seeks to shed more light from the participants point of view, on two aspects: the levels of cooperation and teaching practices, regarding co- teaching practices. The study is based on a quantitative research method. Its population consisted of 125 subjects, in four categories: 51 of whom (40.8%) were students training to become teachers, 36 (28.8%) were teachers, 18 (14.4%) were kindergarten teachers and 20% (16.0%) were students that were training to be kindergarten teachers.
The research aims sought to clarify three main questions: How does each group evaluate the benefits of the co- teaching methods in the" Class- Academia" program? What are the common teaching practices within the program? Is there a connection between the respondents' position regarding the benefits and the implementation of the common practices in the program? The answer to these questions will provide an additional aspect of the evaluation for the program, as well as contribute significantly to the practical experience in teachers training. All participants indicated amicable relationships and mutual co-operation. As such it is possible to conclude that in the opinion of all subjects in this study, there are obvious advantages to co- teaching instruction. In addition there was seen to be a correlation between the significant advantages of co- teaching and the use of a variety of teaching practices. These findings reinforce the successful implementation of the model of co- teaching as part of the practical experience of the "Academia- Class" program. It is possible to conclude that the model of co- teaching between experienced educators , teachers and kindergarten teachers and students who are training to be educators in schools and kindergartens is beneficial to all and in addition advances innovations in teaching practices.
