Abstract

When Beuys affirmed that "every human being is an artist" he condensed in one sentence the declarative power of a political conviction implicit in the humanity-art relationship that, surely, many others before his time would have defended. This statement is essential whenever any system capturing the imagination, body and thoughts emerge at different historical moments, so that the alternative to various devices and machinery alienating catch is artistic expression in all its manifestations. It is then a possibility and a power that appears in the limits and boundaries of systems of comfort or physical and mental submission that hinder the articulation of the different interactions between ethics and aesthetics, configuring a particular type of subject. For this reason, it is necessary to find tools and possibilities so that, from different pedagogies, these interactions are possible, strengthened and spread. The Visual Arts program of the Juan de Castellanos University was born precisely as part of a larger project in which it is desired to impact on the regional level the production, circulation and distribution of knowledge in the field of visual arts. It is not just another educational offer, but a training project that focuses on new methodologies and perspectives. Precisely, the collective construction of a manifesto among its academic community determines a common commitment, in which challenges and responsibilities are outlined, however, because of its formative nature it is an innovation in the educational field. The purpose of this paper is to show the experience of our learning community in the design, development and promotion of the manifesto's strategy as a meeting point for artistic education practices and their impact on subjectivities.
