Ornament - A Symbol of National Spiritual Heritage

Abstract

The aim of this article is to reveal the significance of the Kazakh national ornaments as the main sources for the formation of the national spirit of the Kazakh people. Also to consider the features of ornamental compositions and art of painting in Kazakhs, to make out the features of different eras and styles. As well as that, to determine color combinations. The article considers the ornament not only in form, but also in the technique of execution, as the main form of harmonious color solution. On the basis of the analysis of rhythmic alternation of ornaments and a combination of different tones, the perception of the world is determined, as well as the practical application of ornaments and their significance in human life. The ornament is always correlated with the size of the thing and its shape. For ornamental compositions, the approximate equality of the areas of the background and patterns is typical. The author claims that the ornament is reflected in the national applied art and it is a symbol of the national spiritual heritage.
