The Future of Education

The Old Testament,the new Testament, and the Quran consider man to be the ruler of the earth and God’s Khalifah on earth. Therefore, Abrahamic religions define man’s role to be global. The quintessential example of the belief of Abrahamic religions regarding the education of global citizens is the conviction about a global savior and a global apocalyptic rule. On another hand, due to globalization, nowadays the fates of all people, organizations, and governments have become tied together more than ever, and the effect of this process on all domains of human activity has been rendered undeniable. Therefore, devising the concept of “global citizenship” appears to be necessary. With the aim of examining the properties and characteristics of global citizens in higher education with a focus on the Abrahamic religions. A documentary data collection method is employed, and the content and face validity and reliability of the research are based upon credible sources. Furthermore, the methodology of the research is that of comparative religion. According to the findings, the most predominant factors affecting the education of global citizens are of five categories: 1) educational planning and design, 2) content of educational curriculum, 3) the method of performing the educational curriculum, 4) teachers’ qualification, and 5) education of life skills.
