Abstract

Neotrie VR is a software package to play and generate activities in virtual reality for educational purposes.  It is especially suitable for teaching and learning 3d geometry, as it contains standard tools for dynamic geometry, a 3d graphing calculator, a scanner, multiview projection planes, tools to generate crystalline networks, 3d tessellations and fractals, etc.. Activities can be complemented with labels, pictures, 360 panoramic backgrounds, sounds, music balls, videos, and 3d models, such as STL or OBJ.  Our teaching experience during the last 3 years indicate a high motivation in the students from primary [1] to university levels [2], while allowing them to play, learn and create figures based on 3d geometrical structures. This project is mainly supported by the University of Almería, in the framework of a European Scientix project [3]. More information is available at [4].
