The Future of Education

Abstract

This qualitative research analyzed the main categories participants used to construct their reality applying four corner debates based on controversial issues. The data was collected through the following instruments: the students’ artifacts, the video recordings and the semi-structured interview. The findings revealed that students constructed their reality from the natural environment and the exchange of critical and reflective viewpoints. This process concluded that the use of four corner debates made the learners to expand their knowledge and to construct critical ideas. One of the implications establishes students can become agents of change of their reality.
