A Model of Competency Development on Mathematics Learning Management for Teachers of the Border Patrol Police Schools in Mae Hong Son Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop a model of competency development on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mea Hong Son province, to evaluate a model of competency development on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mae Hong Son province and to develop the competency on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mae Hong Son province. The methodology was research and development. The purposive samples were 30 teachers of 7 border patrol police schools in Mae Hong Son province. The research instruments were a model of competency development, an evaluation form and a test. The statistics used in this research were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.

Findings were as follows:

1) A Model of competency development on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mae Hong Son province was SMART MATH MODEL. There were 9 components: System Analysis, Math Curriculum Analysis, Activity Learning Planning, Respond to Authentic System, Technique of Instructional, Media Facilitation, Authentic Assessment, Teaching Conclude and Hard Rectify. 2) The effectiveness of the model of competency development on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mae Hong Son province was suitable and the efficiency was 82.27/80.33 3) The result of competency development on mathematics learning management for teachers of the border patrol police schools in Mea Hong Son province was higher before development at 0.05 of significance and high level.
