Lihnida Stojanovska-Georgievska is a professor at the Faculty of electrical engineering and information technologies at Ss Cyril and Methodius University. Her field of lecturing is physics in general, with specific subjects in engineering mechanics, physics of materials including nanomaterials and physics of computer games. She received her PhD in 2013 in solid state physics for studying the subject of characterization of high-k dielectric materials. Her scientific interests include solid state physics, semiconductors in general, characterization of materials, especially electrical characterization of thin films, high-k dielectric materials for use in microelectronics. Special research interest is shown in the topic of energy efficiency, measures for energy efficiency in buildings (RES in buildings, energy efficient electrical installations, green buildings, Building Information Modeling - BIM), and recently in digitalisation of training and education process. She has a significant project experience of more than 20 national and international research projects (Horizon, Erasmus, IAEA, CEI). Lihnida is the author or coauthor of more than 50 papers published in international scientific journals or professional publications, as well as training materials for nonformal professional training, mainly targeting energy efficiency, green energy, renewable energy sources and digitalisation of the training process. Her recent activities are toward the development of qualifications, National Qualification Framework, design of process of validation of non-formal and informal learning – VNFIL, lifelong learning – LLL and modernisation of the training and education process with the use of digital tools, gamification and AI.
