Wafaa Mohamed Ashour is the Director of the Kindergarten Department at the Ministry of Education& Higher Education
Wafaa graduated with a PhD from the Arab American University in Educational Administration in 2021.
Over the past 27 years, she held many positions, she worked from 1997 to 2000 as a teacher for many educational levels, then worked from 2001-2004 as Head of the Kindergarten Department at the Ministry of Education, then Director of the Kindergarten Development Center from 2005-2020, then Director of the Development and Quality Department from 2021-2023, and then Director of the Kindergarten Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to date.
Wafaa is an expert in transnational cooperation, international project planning and management, Her career spans over two decades, with a particular focus on education, early childhood, and educational media. She has served in coordination and management roles on national and international projects and initiatives. She is known for her leadership in curriculum design, project management, and promoting innovation in education. She is committed to advancing education through the integration of technology, collaborative leadership, and evidence-based strategies.

In 2017, she participated in the design and implementation of the Ministry of Education's first kindergarten curriculum, and served as the coordinator of the World Bank-funded PPP project between 2017 and
(2019-2024), she also served as a coordinator and member of the review committee for the subjects of the World Bank-funded professional diploma for private kindergartens (2021-2024), she worked as a general supervisor and as one of the members of the practical arbitration and educational follow-up committee developed by the Ministry of Primitivity and Higher Education within the project to improve early childhood development, Introduction to study plans for kindergarten units in Palestine in cooperation with the University of Delaware, She works as a representative of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the National Committee for Early Childhood, She worked as a coordinator for the Arsmus Plus within the CARE project promotes childhood education and care in Palestine 2021-2024), a key member of the Arab Early Childhood Network, a key member of the Palestinian Early Childhood Network. She is a member of the International Association of Sociology (ISA), and has been working as a part-time lecturer at Al-Asriya University College since 2021.
