Alfredo Báez Simón is a Professor-Researcher at the campus Tetela of the Complejo Regional Norte in the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Economics from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
He is a doctoral candidate at the Universidad de los Ángeles (UDEA) in Puebla, Mexico.
He has advised several undergraduate theses in the agroforestry engineering program. He has co-authored several publications and is also the author of research papers. He recently participated in the review and update of the agroforestry engineering program, resulting in a new curriculum that will be implemented once it has been approved by the Honorable University Council of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
He was invited to give an international lecture at the Industrial University of Santander in Colombia, as well as organizing the webinar “Rural development: experiences, challenges, and opportunities. He has 18 years of experience in university teaching and has served as a thesis jury member on numerous occasions for the bachelor's degree program in agroforestry engineering.
He held the position of University Advisor from 2018 to 2020 and currently serves as Teaching Advisor for the 2024-2026 term.
His line of research is “Economic valuation of natural resources and management of Geographic Information Systems, GIS.”
