Ilaria Matteucci (M.Sc. 2003, Ph.D. 2008) is a re-searcher of the Trust, Security and Privacy group within the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of CNR. Her main research interests include formal methods for the synthesis of secure systems, analysis of data sharing in service-oriented architectures and policies on personal data privacy.
My research and design activity is focused on three main topics:
• Study of techniques based on process algebras for the analysis and enforcing of privacy and security properties and the design of translation functions between languages allowing to specify access and usage control policies on sensitive resources and data.
• Offensive and defensive security in the automotive domain: in-depth studies of security issues that may occur in both intra-vehicle network and in the communications of a vehicle with the surrounding environment, such as intelligent traffic lights, other vehicles and motorway infrastructure.
• Study of security properties in the domain of emerging systems: a case study was analysed concerning personal data that can be aggregated using public information on social networks, highlighting vulnerabilities and possible risks.
From 2020 I work as reviewer for the European Commission for both NGI and
Horizon Europe projects. I also participate in national and European projects in the field of information security, such as FP6 EU S3MS, FP7 EU CONNECT, Consequence, Aniketos, NeSSoS,CocoCloud, Artemis EU SESAMO, H2020 E-Corridor, C3ISP, PRIN TENACE and GAUSS, e-SHS. Currently I’m involved in an Erasmus+ project SuperCyberKids aiming at teaching cybesecurity to young children 8-13.
