Dragana graduated as s Professor of mathematics and informatics from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2011. Since then, for the last 14 years, she has been working in the various primary and high schools and adult education centres, both in Serbia and Slovenia. Even before her graduation, in 2010, she started working as a mathematical teacher in the primary school. From 2010 to 2014 she worked in primary and high schools in Serbia. In 2014 she moved to Slovenia. From 2017 to 2022 she worked at Ljudska univerza Murska Sobota (Adult education centre Murska Sobota), first as a mathematical teacher in Primary School for Adults, and learning support to marginalized groups, including Roma communities, all as part of Slovenian National Employment Program. After one year of such a unique experience, she become a full-time organizer of adult education with main focus on project work for improving and expanding adult education. From 2022 to 2024 she worked in Biotehniška šola Rakičan (Biotehnical High School Rakičan), teaching mathematics, physics and leading the general science subject’s department. From 2024 until today, she works as a project leader for the national adult education project Temeljne competence 2023–2029 (Basic Competences 2023–2029), back at Ljudska univerza Murska Sobota. Occasionally, she produced statistical analyses of data for the publication of various doctoral dissertations, especially in the field of medicine.

Dragana is an expert both in mathematics and adult educational projects. She is currently leading the consortium of five institutions in region Pomurje, who are all working together in the project cofounded by the Slovenian Ministerium of Education and European Social Fund Plus. The main goal of project is expanding the Lifelong Learning and empowering basic skills of adults in Slovenia. She has completed various advanced pedagogical and andragogical trainings, and in 2022 has earned the professional title of “mentor”. She remains active contributor to educational development through project management and conference presentations, including EduIzziv 2022.

At the 15th International Conference on the Future of Education, Dragana will share her insights on the evolution of adult learning in Slovenia, emphasizing the importance of non-formal adult learning.
