Senior Lecturer Lidija Štefić has completed a BA in English and Italian Language and Literature, a Master of Arts in Linguistics. Employed as an academic in universities for over twenty-five years, Lidija has held a variety of positions including leadership roles.
Lidija commenced at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb, Croatia in February 1994 and has occupied roles such as lecturer of a course English in Dental Medicine I and English in Dental Medicine II for undergraduate students, Main researcher of the "HRSTON project" (Croatian Dental Terminology), Head of the Department for Social Studies at School of Dental Medicine, Editor for English of the Acta Stomatologica Dental Journal.
Lidija conducted a research on plagiarism and anonymous authorship in the field of Forensic Linguistics. Lidija's interests cover the topics of student motivation as well as linguistic topics such as collocations, complex nominal phrases and synonyms.
Currently, Lidija is involved in creating a new syllabus for undergraduate students by introducing e-learning by implementing e-portfolios in all of her classes. Also, she is teaching Croatian to foreign students at the School of Dental Medicine.
