Sandra Saúde is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja), researcher at CICS.NOVA – Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences and, also, of the IPBeja´ Laboratory of Territorial and Sociocultural Dynamization. Between 2009 and 2017, Sandra Saúde has been Pro-President for Planning and Strategic Development of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja.
Sandra Saúde has a Master and a PhD in Sociology, with specialization in Sociology of Development and Sociology of Organizations. She has developed an Intensive Training Program in Team Management and Leadership Skills at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2013, through a grant funded by Banco Santander through the Program: W30.
Sandra Saúde has participated and coordinated several research projects, during the last 20 years, financed by Portuguese and European funds, namely in the areas of: Vocational and Professional training, Assessment of social and economic impacts of projects and institutions (e.g. Higher Education Institutions) and Strategies for improving local and regional sustainable development.
The actual subjects of scientific interest and future development, with some papers and books already published, are:
Evaluation and/or assessment of social and cultural impacts/outcomes; Education and Regional development.
Areas of expertise: Assessment/evaluation of socio-economic impacts of institutions (higher education institutions) and projects; evaluation of competences/skills; employability and professional insertion; local/sustainable development.
