Ingrid Lindell PhD is a Senior Lecturer in Comparative Literature & Education, ETP and
Associated Head of Teacher Education at the Dep of Literature, History of ideas & Religion, GOTHENBURG UNIVERSITY in Sweden.
Current research is directed towards the overall conditions under which literature is taught in contemporary western schools ages 15 and upwards. Part of this work is, on the one hand, to anchor literary studies in educational philosophy and, on the other hand, to describe methodological strategies to prevent instrumentalisation of the reading of literature. Presently I am in collaboration with Christer Ekholm in a larger project titled Homo Narrans - the beautiful risk of teaching literature.
