Elisa Fontana is Drama Facilitator, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator, Early Years Educational Consultant, artist and performer.

Elisa holds a bachelor degree (honours) in Early Years, a bachelor degree (honours) in Drama, Art and Music studies, and certificates in Reggio Emilia Approach, Philosophy for Children, Educational Dance.

Elisa has worked in contemporary artistic disciplines and education since 2000. Her work focuses on relational art with an intergenerational approach. She creates performances, installations, games and theoretical reflections about performing art and education.

In 2007, she founded Wunderchildren Contemporary Art for Young People, a praxis-based research project. It involves art for young audiences in which children, through hands-on experiences, relate to various types of artistic practice. in 2013 Elisa conducted a qualitative research in Performing Arts and Parenting, based on a performance realised in occasion of "A Cielo Aperto" (Open Sky) , a community art project realised in the small village of Latronico, Italy. The work was published on the artbook "A cielo aperto. Pratiche di collaborazione nell'arte contemporanea a Latronico" (Open sky. Collaboration practices in contemporary art at Latronico, postmedia books 2016, isbn 9788874901685.

Elisa practices Theatre for People with Special Needs, Philosophy for Children (P4C), Educational Dance, Science Education for Early Years and the Reggio Children Approach.

At the moment Elisa is based at University of Roehampton (UK).

Elisa works as educational consultant for Tecnoscienza.it (IT), Burattingegno Teatro (IT), Procreate Project (UK).

Elisa’s work has been featured at theatre festivals, art and educational centers in UK, Italy, Egypt, France, India and Turkey.
