The Future of Education

Dr. Chang Qizhong is a lecturer at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He currently offers courses ranging from syntax and grammar to academic writing to pre-service teachers. Although his background is in theoretical linguistics, he is also interested in analysing language education in Singapore through the lens of variationist frameworks. His research focus is on the local variety of English – Singapore English – and his PhD dissertation dealt with the range of wh-question constructions in Singapore English. He has previously taught at National University of Singapore, as well as Singapore University of Social Sciences.
