Guido was born and raised in Florence, Italy. After moving to the United States Guido has taught high school economics for 12 years while completing a Master of Science in Applied Economics at the University of North Dakota. He and his family moved to Boise, Idaho in 2017. Guido is currently a lecturer in the Department of Economics at Boise State University. He has taught courses in Principles of Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Economics, Economic Development, and a Capstone Seminar for graduating seniors. Guido will be graduate student coordinator for 2019-2020 academic year. Guido also teach two University Foundations courses, one with emphasis on environmental issues, and one on inequality.
Beside working on economic impact projects for local municipalities, Guido has received a grant to study the long term effects of foster care on children who have aged out of the foster care system in Idaho.
Guido is currently working on creating a principles of microeconomics curriculum for non-economics majors with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and student-centered activities.
