Terry Lansdown received his Ph.D. from Loughborough University. He is currently an Associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University in Human Factors. His research interests include workload, autonomy, and task conflict. He has published articles in Ergonomics, Applied Ergonomics, Accident Analysis & Prevention, Computers in Human Behaviour, Policy and Practice in Health and Safety and Transportation Research Part F amongst other journals. Recently he has been undertaking research on widening access to higher education, and student engagement and support.
As a lecturer, he delivered numerous modules covering psychological and ergonomic topics over the last twenty years.
Terry is the undergraduate programme director for the School of Social Sciences at Heriot-Watt University. He has managed numerous undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and is a Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE.
