The Future of Education

Mr. Ray Rhodes is a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, specializing in financial subjects. He obtained a certificate in computer programming in 1983; is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries (ACIS); has obtained his Honours degree in cost accounting and his Masters’ degree in Education. He worked in industry as assistant financial manager and systems analyst for a division of Barlow’s SA. He has lectured since 1997 in finance, accounting and costing; and has presented courses in information technology where his research interests lay. He has assisted in the development and implementation of the integration of ICT into accounting education. As the basis of his PhD studies he has investigated the outcomes of the integration of ICT in the accounting diploma at the University of Johannesburg.
