Prof. As. Dr. Siditë Duraj is a full-time academic staff member at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Albania. She has been a full-time member of the department since 2008 and has held the academic title of Associate Professor since April 2023.
She completed her university studies in Mathematics at the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” in 2003, receiving the qualification of Mathematics Teacher. From 2003 to 2008, she worked as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, while also teaching mathematics at “Jordan Misja” High School in Shkodra.
Since 2016, she has served as Head of the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”.
Her main research field is Functional Analysis, with particular interest in Fixed Point Theory, generalized metric-type spaces, and related structures in nonlinear analysis. Her academic work also extends to mathematics education, especially diagnostic assessment, students’ errors in calculus, method selection in integral calculus, and the use of digital and e-learning environments in mathematics teaching.
She completed her Second Level Master’s studies at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Mathematics, during the period 2009–2011, with a thesis entitled “Integration in Abstract Spaces and the Maximal Function”.
In 2017, she obtained the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Mathematics from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences, with the doctoral thesis “Cauchy Sequences in Generalized Metric Spaces”.
