Olivija Drinčić is an experienced English language teacher and mentor at Primary School “Štampar Makarije” in Podgorica, Montenegro. She holds a Master’s Degree in Philology from the UDG, with a thesis focused on Artificial Intelligence in Foreign Language Teaching in Primary Schools in Podgorica. She also completed a Specialist Degree in English Language at the Institute for Foreign Languages. With over 20 years of teaching experience following her professional certification, Olivija is dedicated to fostering inclusive, modern, and student-centered learning environments.
Her professional journey includes leading the English Language Department of the school and serving as a national external examiner. She has completed over 240 hours of accredited professional development, including advanced teacher training with the British Council and a Business English course in London. Olivija actively integrates digital tools and AI technologies into her teaching methodology, promoting innovation, critical thinking, and student agency in the classroom.
She has achieved notable success as a mentor, guiding students to first, third, and fifth place finishes in national English competitions. Internationally, her students have excelled in the HIPPO English Olympiad, placing sixth in the 2024 World Finals in Assisi, and earning second and third place in the 2025 Regional Finals in Venice. Olivija is also the mentor of Lara Dlabac, a 12-year-old student who authored the book Crimson Reckoning in English—an exceptional accomplishment that reflects Olivija’s commitment to nurturing talent.
Olivija is passionate about educational research, project-based learning, and the implementation of AI in language education. Through her ongoing mentorship, school leadership, and international involvement, she continues to contribute meaningfully to the future of education.
