Dr Chanté Botha is the Head of the MBA Programme and a Senior Lecturer at the Johannesburg Business School, University of Johannesburg. She is an emerging scholar in the field of business management, entrepreneurship and digital transformation, holding a joint PhD in Business Management from the University of Johannesburg and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her doctoral research focused on the digital transformation of business models in SMEs.
Her academic interests lie at the intersection of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a specific focus on how digital tools and strategies can drive business renewal and improve performance. Chanté has published and presented both nationally and internationally on topics including business model innovation, digital transformation, emotional intelligence in entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship education.
She has extensive experience in postgraduate supervision, academic leadership, and curriculum development, and currently teaches modules such as Competitive Strategy and Competitive Intelligence. Chanté is also an active peer reviewer for
various academic journals and international conferences and continues to contribute to research projects on digital transformation in SMEs and the integration of experiential learning in entrepreneurship education.
