Tereza Telekyová is PhD student – special education with a focus on expressive therapies

My name is Tereza Telekyová. I have a degree in special education and drama therapy, and I am currently studying a doctoral program in special education with a focus on expressive therapy.I teaching expressive therapies, drama therapy, drama education, and expressive therapy as prevention at Palacký University.
I have professional experience working with people with visual impairments, specifically within the organization All Modes Association for the Visually Impaired and Blind (SONS), where I work in a support group as a drama therapist.
Furthermore, I have experience leading a support group for individuals with intellectual disabilities, where I worked as a theatre therapist. Together with the clients, we rehearsed a theatre performance, which was later presented at a benefit event supporting the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
As part of my practical experience, I have also worked in a children’s home, a children’s home with an attached school, and in low-threshold facilities. I also worked for two years at Zrnko Vsetín, a low-threshold center for children and youth.
I am participating in a scientific study project called IGA. Under the supervision of Dominik Polínek, M.A., Ph.D., the project deals with the topic ofThe importance of selected specific interventions for individuals with special educational needs and challenging behavior in strengthening inclusion. I also participated in the Iga vibroacoustic therapy in special education project led by doc. Mgr. Jiří Kantor, Ph.D.
As part of my studies, I also completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Patra in Greece as part of my master's degree. As part of my doctoral studies, I then completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Granada in Spain, where I participated in research. Emotional intensity in high-achieving students and how to work with them. I completed a month-long internship with AIESEC in Montenegro, where I led a course for adults on social communication development.
