Dr Maria Anastasou is a Lecturer in Education at the University of Limassol. She holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Evaluation from the University of Cyprus, specializing in educational effectiveness, school improvement, and student academic resilience. Her research explores the impact of teaching quality on student learning outcomes, with a particular focus on academically resilient students. Maria has extensive experience in educational research, having contributed to multiple European projects on teacher professional development for improving students’ metacognitive skills, and children’s quality of life. Her expertise includes advanced skills in research methodology and educational data analysis. She is an active member of the Junior Researchers of EARLI (JURE) and EARLI SIG 18 – Educational Effectiveness and Improvement, regularly presenting her work at international conferences. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the field of educational research and policy.
