Dr. Albana Hodaj is a full-time lecturer at the Center for Continuing Education, Faculty of Education, Aleksander Moisiu University of Durres. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Albanian Language and Literature (Teaching profile) from “Eqrem Çabej” University of Gjirokastër, a Second-Level Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences from the European University of Tirana, and a PhD in Political Science.
She has also been awarded the academic title of “Docent” in teaching and research by a regional higher education institution, reflecting her advanced academic engagement in the field.
Dr. Hodaj has extensive experience in both public and private education, including her role as Director of the Regional Directorate of Education in Vlora (2013–2019), where she contributed to national education reforms. She is a trainer in innovative teaching methodologies and has served as a national exam evaluator since 2008.
She teaches courses in the field of education, including Teacher Ethics, Pedagogical Communication with Students with Special Needs, Social Pedagogy, Research Methods in Education, Developing Children’s Skills through Reading, and Curriculum Development, among others.
She is the author of several academic publications and the scientific monograph “The Image of Albanians in Culture and European Integration” (2022). Her research interests include education policy, European integration, intercultural communication, and teacher professional development. She is also the author of six published books in poetry and prose.
