Siân taught for several years in a number of secondary schools across Greater Manchester. She continued to share her passion for teaching mathematics as a mathematics consultant for a local authority.
Siân joined the tutor team at the University of Manchester in 2011. She led the educational professional studies element of the course for several years and is currently subject lead for the secondary mathematics PGCE. In 2015 she was awarded an MSc in Educational Research from The University of Manchester.
Her current research interests involve lesson study, climate and social justice in education, professional development and mathematical pedagogy.
