Daiva Bartninkiene is Head of the Educational Assistance Competence Center (with laboratories of special pedagogy, speech therapy, biofeedback and sensory integration), Deputy Head of the Gifted Children Education Center GIFTED (a center for the education of gifted children with great learning potential) at the Academy of Education of Vytautas Magnus University.
Daiva has completed pedagogical bachelor’s and master’s studies in the field of humanities. She is a third year PhD student, topic of dissertation “Personalization based interdisciplinary support for students with autism spectrum disorder in an inclusive school.“ Daiva has gained educational and scientific experience in various institutions, working as a teacher, school principal, specialist in the municipal education department, head of the training center, head of the largest educational literature publishing house in Lithuania, head of a network of educational institutions, business director, lecturer, and researcher. Her experience includes development of training programs for adults and children, educational marketing, and communication strategies.
Daiva has implemented the long-term topic of professional interest - the benefits of personalized learning - by founding a private educational institution with a Nordic education direction - the successful school. In addition, while working in a publishing house for almost a decade, she developed innovative educational solutions (including digital ones), based on methodologies on integrated education (2006), problem-based learning (2012) and phenomenon research (2018).
Daiva has been a board member of Coordination Council of the Non-Formal Education Center for Lithuanian Students and board member of Lithuanian Non-Formal Adult Education Council, member of Social Affairs Committee (BusinessEurope) and member of Education Committee (Business at OECD). While working in Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, a national level associated organization, Daiva coordinated the activities of the education and regional policy committees.
Daiva is involved in several projects, including Comprehensive University Development in the Context of Universities Network Restructuration, GATE, 09.3.1-ESFA-V-738-02-0001 (Head of the project's research group), Teachers Training Program to Support Gifted and Talented Students, project Reference No.: 2021-1-LT01-KA220-SCH-000027713 (Project researcher), Sensitive Cognitive Classroom Emphasizing Improving Learners’ Academic Performance and Positive Emotions and Reducing Stress and Depression, SEISMOMETER, 10-044-P-0001, P-EDU-23-9 (Junior researcher).
