Yolanda Ruiz de Zarobe is Associate Professor in Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of the Basque Country. She has published on the acquisition of English as a third language, multilingualism and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Her work has appeared in books, edited books and international journals. Her latest publications include the co-editions Content and Language Integrated Learning: Evidence from Research in Europe (Multilingual Matters, 2009), CLIL in Spain: Implementation, Results and Teacher Training (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2010), Content and Foreign Language Integrated Learning: Contributions to Multilingualism in European Contexts (Peter Lang, 2011), which was awarded a national prize by the Spanish Association of Applied Linguistics, and the Special Issue CLIL: Language Policy and Educational Practice (International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, 2013). In 2015 she has co-edited with Professor Jasone Cenoz a Special Issue of the Language, Culture and Curriculum journal entitled: Content-based instruction and CLIL: Moving forward in the 21st Century.
