Carla M A Pinto is a Doctor in Mathematics since January 2004, from the University of Porto. She has a Bachelor Degree in Applied Mathematics since 1996 and a Master degree in Computational Methods in Science and Engineering since 1999.
Miss Pinto is a lecturer at higher education level, at the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic of Porto, since 1997, where she teaches math courses. She was involved in the proposal of two novel courses, one for a Bachelor degree and one for a Master degree, both approved by the competent entities.
Miss Pinto is the coordinator of an Erasmus+ Project, entitled Development of Innovative Mathematical Teaching Strategies in European Engineering Degrees - DrIVE-MATH, since September 2017.
Miss Pinto is member of the Centre for Mathematics of the University of Porto, where develops research in the area of Dynamical Systems. She has been invited to be member of scientific and program committees of international and national conferences. She is also member of the editorial board of international journals with high impact factors. She has more than 100 publications in journals and conferences. She has 896 citations, her h-index is 16 and her i10-index is 25.
