Simon Kiesel, DBA, holds a German business degree, a Bachelor’s degree from The Open University, a Master’s degree from the University of South-Wales and graduated 2021 at the Executive Doctorate of Business Administration program at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. In 2020, he was awarded by the IMA Educational Case Journal with third place in a case writing competition.
Since 2010, Simon works in the IT environment as a Head of Marketing and Customer Relationship Management for krick.com, a German publishing company that has gone through the transition from telephone directory production to various digital service offerings. Prior to that, he held senior commercial responsibility for a subsidiary of the Bertelsmann Media Group for 6 years, and before that worked for Vogel Communications Group, a trade magazine publisher. He is an expert when it comes to the networking of medium-sized companies. As an interface between business interests and IT, he has experience in the planning and management of international projects.
Simon is a volunteer judge for the Business Plan Competition of Northern Bavaria, organized by BayStartUp, a consultant and coach for startups, and organizes and awards the Würzburg Startup Prize each year. He is a lecturer at higher education level, and teaches at the FHWS University of Applied Sciences Würzburg in the postgraduate master's program brand and media management.
