The Future of Education

Caterina is an Associate Professor in the Education Program of the Education and Language Acquisition Department at LaGuardia Community College. Caterina has explored student use of ePortfolios to enhance their connections beyond the classroom, links to their identity development, and links to social justice; feedback from the lens of peer feedback, and the written feedback teachers provide for students on their written work; the feasibility of using blended engineering design tasks to support Kindergarten children and their families' learning; and the feasibility of using an observation protocol in informal education settings to better understand learner engagement and behaviors. Caterina has a B.A. in Linguistics with a TESOL focus; an M.A. in TESOL and Educational Psychology; and a PhD in Educational Psychology with a focus on learning, development, and instruction.
