It points out that the rapid development of the Internet plus has led to the creation and development of the WeChat public platform, which has brought opportunities and challenges to English language teaching. The opportunities brought by the WeChat public platform to English teaching are as follows: 1) The mobile “English corner” is realized with the help of text, voice chat, and picture pushing function; 2) The mobile“the second class” is available with the aid of pushing capabilities of micro lessons, MOOC lessons, and online video resource; 3)Relying on a platform of data pushing functionality, the interesting "comprehensive big class." is  achieved. However, the risks are as follows: 1) how to truly implement the "student-centered" philosophy; 2) how to rationally integrate online and offline teaching content, and integrate ideas such as flipping classrooms to achieve efficient blended learning; 3) how to truly enhance teachers’ professional level and team building capacity.
