Anches Holzweber is an English lecturer and researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland in Eisenstadt. She is also the English coordinator for three MA study-programs: International Business Relations, International Wine Marketing and Human Resource Management, where she teaches and is responsible for the curriculum.
Anches graduated in English and American Studies and History from the University of Vienna in 1999 as well as in English Language and Linguistics in 2013. She also is a CELTA certified English teacher.
From 1997 to 2001 she worked as a translator in the areas of law and pharmacy. In 1998 she started to work as a free-lance English teacher for numerous large Austrian companies, later she founded the “Austrian Language Company” that offered language classes, translations, proof-reading and editing. Her expertise is social security and social insurance terminology.
She has been a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences since 2006, first as an external lecturer, from 2013 as part of the permanent staff.
When she does not teach, Anches dedicates her time to perfecting teaching concepts and methodologies, especially in regards to E-learning and Self-Directed Learning.
