Innovation in Language Learning

Takako Yasuta is a senior associate professor in the Center for Language Research at the University of Aizu, Fukushima, Japan. She obtained her MTESL from Arizona State University and her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Her research interests include second language writing, second language phonology, and role language (language in Manga comics). She is especially interested in using pop culture contents such as Manga comics for teaching English.
