Hanwei Tan is an associate professor working at the Division of Language Technology Evaluation and Application in Defence Language Institute, USA.

Hanwei Tan graduated in Comparative Literature –from Indiana University in 2006. Since then, for the last 12 years, he has been working in the field of foreign language teaching, curriculum building and technology application to teaching.

From 2006 to 2018 he has worked as Department Chair, associate professor in Chinese language teaching and specialist in technology and language application. He has many publication, presentations at national and international conferences, and has been constantly invited to give talks to universities abroad.
