Krista Chambless is an Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She teaches courses in Spanish and French language as well as foreign cultures. Krista graduated from the University of Alabama with a PhD in Secondary Education with Minors in Spanish and French. She has taught all levels and ages from Kindergarten through graduate school during her 25 year career. In 2013 she received the Educator of Excellence Award from the Southern Conference on Language Teaching for her outstanding teaching. In addition to teaching, Krista also engages in significant scholarly research. She has been awarded grants and published articles on teaching and teacher training. She is a frequent presenter at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Conference as well as the American Association of Teachers of French and the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Conferences.
