Eva Homolová is an Associate Professor at the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.
For the last 23 years she has been involved in pre- and in - service teacher training.
She specialises in methodology of teaching English as a foreign language. Her current teaching and lecturing is focused on Using Project Work in English Lessons, Teaching English to Adult and Senior Learners, Using authentic materials and Language Learning Strategies. She is a coordinator and supervisor of observation and continuous teaching practice in primary and secondary schools. She has supervised several successful projects with this orientation. She has written a number of articles and published several monographs in areas of teacher´s and learners´ roles, use of authentic materials, communicative language teaching and senior language education. She is also the author of ELT study materials for pre and in-service teacher training.
Areas of expertise: English language teaching and learning, teaching practice, teaching English to senior learners and development of soft skills during online and in-class lessons.
