Fiorella Marie Sadowski is a full-time Modern Foreign Languages teacher within GEMS World Academy
She graduated in French and Italian language teaching from the University of Malta in 2009. She worked for over a decade as a French and Italian teacher in a church school in Malta across all forms of the secondary school "Immaculate Conception School”, in Tarxien.
In 2021 she finished her Master's Degree in Language Teaching ITALS from the Venetian university Ca' Foscari. From 2020-2021 she researched the effects of Covid-19 within secondary schools in Malta with her thesis entitled "La Didattica a Distanza e la Valutazione dell'Italiano Per Stranieri Nelle Scuole Secondarie Maltesi Durante l'Emergenza Sanitaria Coronavirus" under the supervision of Prof. Graziano Serragiotto and Prof. Sandro Caruana.
In 2021 Fiorella created an online platform and website whereby she wanted to promote a new concept of modern foreign language teaching through innovative and highly engaging learning zones. Following the creation of the website, she also paired her passion for language teaching with regular lifestyle blogging that lead her to the creation of a new concept of reading. In January 2022 "Le Avventure di Arya" was born paving the way for a new active kind of reading whereby the reader/public would be invited to read regularly and through social media platforms one would also have the opportunity to. change and decide the fates of the characters and the progression of the storyline.
So far she has also been involved in giving presentations on innovative language learning techniques and guest lecturing University student teachers.
