Victoria Quade is an Australian New Zealander currently based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Trained as a film editor in New Zealand, she became interested in how knowledge is reproduced while completing a Graduate Diploma of Journalism at RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. Shortly afterwards she returned to New Zealand and began working with community radio broadcasters, including those from migrant and refugee backgrounds. This led to studies in education at Deakin University, Geelong and James Cook University, Queensland. The focus of these studies was adult learners and the acquisition of new literacies. For the last 10 years Quade has been working as an English language teacher with migrant and refugee learners in Aotearoa New Zealand. She has a Master of Education (Adult Ed.) from Massey University and a Post Graduate Diploma TESOL from Te Herenga Waka / Victoria University of Wellington.
