Djamel Bouache began his studies in French Language and Literature at the University of Tizi-Ouzou in 2006, graduating in 2010. He has always been interested in the web and IT, and in 2012, he took a short training course leading to a qualification in web development and programming using languages such as VB Net and C.
In 2015, Djamel Bouache returned to university, opting for a master's degree in Arabic-French translation, which he obtained in September 2017. A month later, he began his doctoral studies in translation didactics after passing the competitive examination at the University of Algiers 2. During his doctoral studies, Djamel Bouache took part as a speaker in conferences on translation and translation studies.
Throughout his training in the field of translation, he never abandoned his passion for the web and programming, even though as an amateur he continued to learn other programming languages that helped him understand how algorithms work.
It was his dual interest in languages and the web that led him to choose a theme for his thesis that links the two fields. This is localisation (L10n), which is concerned with adapting the user interfaces of websites, software, video games and mobile applications to the language and usage norms and conventions of a target audience.
