Christel Schneider has worked as visiting lecturer at Hamburg University (Dept. of Education) teaching didactics and methodology for more than 10 years.
In addition she has run teacher training seminars both on a national, as well as on an international, basis for a number of years.
At present she works as director for the ICC International Language Network www.icc-languages.eu
Her published works include a wide range of materials on course design and teacher training, as well as several course books and various articles. She has also been part of a team of authors which has published English textbooks for adults, including digital training material as well as in the production of digital Language Portfolios.
Her knowledge of online training stretches over a period of more than twelve years. Originally qualified as an Online Trainer with the Institute of Education at the University of London, she later went on to become a certified online trainer with ILM, UK.
Further online experience includes working as an online tutor for the Institute of Education at the University of London and as a guest tutor on an online course (train the 'online' trainer) at the Northern Illinois University as well as trainer for ‘Prime Time’ tutors in a project with Cornelsen which also included the development of online course material for synchronous and a-synchronous online teaching.
Christel has been the German representative for Abacus Learning Systems for six years and has developed and implemented various online courses for this institute. Among these are Language Trainer Courses and Language Courses as well as courses on Online Methodology.
