Foteini Kalogerogianni is Postdoctoral Researcher & Adjunct Lecturer in Intercultural Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Foteini Kalogerogianni is a graduate of the Department of Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She completed her postgraduate studies in the Department of Philosophy, Education, and Psychology of the same university and in the Department of History at the Ionian University, focusing on intercultural education, historical research, and history didactics. Since 2020, she holds a PhD in Educational Sciences. During the spring semester of the academic years 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025, she teaches as a lecturer in intercultural education courses at undergraduate programs at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
Since 2014, she has actively participated in European research programs on the integration and education of Roma students, as well as in training programs on intercultural education and counseling. Since 2020, she has been teaching in the following postgraduate programs:
1. MSc in "Intercultural Communication" - AUTH,
2. MSc in "Theory, Practice, and Evaluation of Educational Work" (specialization: Intercultural Education) - NKUA,
3. MSc in "Counseling, Career Guidance, and Lifelong Learning" - NKUA,
4. MSc in "Identity, Education, and Competences for Democratic Culture" - NKUA.
In the context of these programs, she is responsible for the students' internships and supervises their thesis work. In 2024, she completed her postdoctoral research titled "Exploring the lexical proficiency of Roma-origin students and their use of dictionaries in teaching Greek as a first language and German as a second foreign language," at the Department of German Language and Literature, School of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Additionally, she teaches in secondary education schools in Western Thessaloniki.
Her research interests focus on intercultural education, critical pedagogy, language didactics in culturally diverse environments, and historical research with an emphasis on highlighting local history.
